Welcome!

Helloo there lovely readers, and welcome to my new look blog...

After I realised that my previous blog, Thursday's Child, was not the only blog out there with that name, I thought it was time for a change in order to make my blog more unique and to really try and improve the layout, and here it is!

I chose Hold the Front Page because I am currently studying a degree in Media, and have a love for journalism and the media in general. The name basically relates to anything I'm loving and think should be the headline of the day. See what I did there?!

So I hope you like the new look, I will keep trying to improve it, but please leave a comment on what you think, and see you when I get my posts up and running!

Going Through Some Changes!

Just a quick post to let you all know that my blog is having a makeover! As you can probably tell, it is under construction to be a new, better blog for you all to read!

My current blog at the moment is not a unique one out there in the blogging world, so I've decided to change the name and start over.

The new one will be called Hold The Front Page, and you'll be able to find it at holdthefront-page.com once I've finished designing it.

My new bloglovin link is www.bloglovin.com/holdthefrontpage, and my twitter is now @sophiefrontpage.

I hope to get it up and running as soon as possible, so bear with me! As soon as it is, you'll be seeing more posts than before.

Thanks for sticking with me people! See you soon on my new blog!

Model Profile: Charlotte Free

I was reading the July issue of ELLE, which just gets better every month (and is therefore my favourite magazine), and came across this amazing fashion story. It showcases the styles from the pre-fall collections, ready for the new season. I know summer has only just started, but I must admit, I love winter clothes, so seeing the new stuff really excites me!

'Go Your Own Way' is a mix of sporty pieces, classic winter materials of check and tweed and pops of colour, and reminded me of my admiration for the beautiful Californian model, Charlotte Free.

You may know Charlotte from her trademark bubblegum-pink hair, and her undeniable attitude and coolness. This is a model who sticks by her principles, refusing to change her hair colour, model fur or pose nude. She advocates more diversity in the fashion industry, and is glad to represent a more alternative-looking model.

Charlotte is only 20 years old and has already modelled for Topshop Unique, Chanel, House of Holland, Benetton, Uniqlo and Marchesa (to name a few) as well as featuring in ELLE, Wonderland and ASOS magazine. She has an incredible, unique face, and a look that makes her seriously memorable.

(I love that last picture, so beautiful!)

Do you like Charlotte's style?
Who's your model of the moment?

Thanks for reading!
