Sarah Angold for Freedom at Topshop

Hello everyone!

Topshop are known for their numerous collaborations with designers, both up-and-coming, and well established. Previous designer collections include Christopher Kane back in the day (anyone remember those animal tank tops?), JW Anderson's highland knitwear, Louise Gray's eccentric makeup and now, Sarah Angold for Freedom jewellery.

Sarah's studio creates both jewellery and lighting, and is "inspired by graphic shapes, mathematical structures and industrial processes". Her designs are sold worldwide but still made by hand in their East London studio, making each piece part of a limited collection. Check out their website here.

The exclusive diffusion range created for Topshop follows in the same vein, taking inspiration from "science fiction and classic art deco". See the whole collection here. Geometric shapes, mainly triangles and hexagons, are combined with futuristic colour spectrums to create a stunning series of statement necklaces and earrings, which are right on trend.

They're a little very pricey for accessories, but the designer exclusivity would make them worth it. If only I could afford them! A girl can dream haha.
Triple Drop Earrings / £30

Triangle Earrings / £35

Diamond Shape Earrings / £32

Four Hex Necklace / £52

Line Necklace / £60

Cut Out Necklace / £65

Layered Shape Necklace / £60

Every piece is gorgeous! Particularly love the two rounded necklaces at the end there.

Is any jewellery catching your eye lately?

Charlotte Olympia: Hollywoodland

"A shoe has so much more to offer than just to walk...."
(Christian Louboutin)

There are times in life when you get excited about finding a stylish bargain, but there are other times when all you wanna do is drool over incredible shoes that you can't afford.

Today is one of those times.

Introducing Charlotte Olympia's pre-fall collection, Hollywoodland.

Charlotte Olympia Dellal is a half English, half Brazilian designer who launched her eponymous label in 2007, and has since become shoe legend. Her accessories are eccentric and seriously creative, which is why she has become so renowned in her field. Her slippers with a kitty-face design have become classics, and her pre-fall collection is just right up my street, with a Hollywood theme, film strip detail and of course, her signature spider-web on the sole. They are pretty darn pricey, but hey, a girl can dream!

Here's some of my favourites from the collection...

Movie Night Shoulder Bag £295
Take Pandora Clapperboard Clutch £795
Walk of Fame Bag £695
Spectator Dolly £595

Box Office Pandora Clutch  £1595

Hollywood Wedges £795

Girls on Film £645

Now I know Charlotte's designs are quite outlandish and probably not to everyone's taste, but I think they are beautiful, unique statement pieces, and the Hollywood cinema theme just evokes glamour and decadence.

If you're a shoe lover, definitely go check out Charlotte's website here to see all her amazing collections.

Wishlist: & Other Stories

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you..."
-Maya Angelou

Tonight I thought I'd do a post on a fairly new brand from the team behind H&M, & Other Stories.

It's a slightly more costly brand than H&M, but still has the same minimal yet quirky style. There is currently only the flagship store in London's Regent Street (which I will get to one day!), but that doesn't matter, because the & Other Stories website is incredible.

As the name suggests, the collection is all about telling a story; 'In The Pink' or 'Sporty Chic' are all brought together in one click. The site looks stunning, with almost a mood board of both items on hangers and artistic fashion stories.

The collection was built around the beauty section first, in which there is a huge variety of skincare, make up and bath products. The clothing is refreshingly simple and classic, and the price range varies but I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable some of it is!

Here's my favourite picks from the site:

Shirt with Detachable Collar in Cranberry   £65

I have an unnatural attachment to dark red, wine coloured clothing, and this is no exception... would definitely keep the cool androgynous collar on!

Abigail Lorick Oxfords in Indigo   £79

I have a ridiculous amount of brogue shoes but these are amazing, updated for summer with a transparent plastic upper. Also come in Ivory.

Platform Ankle Boots in Black   £95

I love the edgy zip detailing, and the nice chunky platform means even I should be able to manage walking in them!

(Yes! It's only 7 quid!)

I had to read this several times before the price sank in, what a bargain! Also fits in nicely with the monochrome trend, too good to be true?

Satchel Bag in Warm Ivory   £45

Claret and cream is a really big colour combo this season, and this preppy satchel bags encompasses it perfectly.

Multi-ring Bracelet in Gold   £10

The jewellery collection is really sleek and minimal, with simple chains, shapes and studs: right up my street!

Lip Colour in Prunella Pink   £12

The range of lipstick and eyeshadow colours is huge, and although £12 is more than I would normally pay for a lipstick, I might have to scrape the funds together for this gorgeously gothic purple.

I would encourage everyone to check out & Other Stories, it's simple and refreshing and effortlessly stylish, and there's something for everyone. I can't wait to hopefully order something soon!

Have you tried anything from & Other Stories?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie.
